Dave Chapelle Show

This was an interesting scenario. There I was, a fresh kid just out of college. I decided to make an investment in the then "revolutionary" DVX100, the first prosumer 24p video camera. Today, everyone has one of these, but back in October of 2004, it was special.
Somehow the camera landed me on the set of the 1st season of the Dave Chapelle Show as the B camera operator. Right next to the camera's big brother, the Varicam. I remember at the time thinking that it was great to be making $100 a day (insert laugh here), and that it didn't matter so much because the show didn't seem all that funny. I guess I had a few things to learn about production, because when it all came together, it was hysterical! The show was a hit on Comedy Central, and to this day people still quote bits from Season 1. "I'm rich Biatch!"
